and the hardship fund.

Everything a parent needs before the first class, in one place. These are the academy's own terms, carried over unchanged from the studio noticeboard. If anything here is unclear, ask — nobody has ever been turned away for asking a question about money.

Class fees

How fees work

Fees are collected monthly through Class for Kids, the academy's booking and invoicing system. It is the only payment route we use.

  • No student joins a class without payment.
  • Payments for classes and costumes are non-refundable.
  • Deposits for trips are non-refundable.
  • Fees are charged monthly, so a missed class is still charged for.
  • Warriorz is closed during half-terms — you are not charged for those weeks.

Bank details are not published on this website. If you are ever sent account details claiming to be from Warriorz, check with the studio first on 07931 923 580.

Holidays

Take them in half-term

We encourage families to take holidays during half-terms, because no classes run then and nothing is missed. Term-time absence still carries the monthly fee.

Trips & events

Deadlines are firm

Advance notice is always given for competition dates and trips. We ask parents to keep to the date given, because late payments can no longer be accepted.

  • Where a competition is compulsory for a crew, payment must be met by the deadline.
  • A crew cannot compete with members missing, so a dancer behind on payments may be removed from the crew.
Crew training

Selected, not bought

Some students are selected to compete with a crew. If your child is selected it is because we see potential and want to push them in the right direction.

  • Crew members must be committed and attend training regularly.
  • A missed rehearsal must be caught up from video.
  • A dancer who is behind and not ready will not compete with the crew.
  • Crew training is an extra — a dancer must also attend a general class to keep training consistent. Crew alone is not an option.
Studio rules

Before you walk in

  • Arrive five to ten minutes before class, with payment. Latecomers are not admitted.
  • Appropriate dancewear only. No jeans.
  • No food or fizzy drinks in the studio — water or juice only.
  • All bags go on the hangers.
  • No leaving the class or studio without the teacher's permission.
  • Respect the space. Use the bins.
Behaviour

The code of conduct

  • No back chat. Respect and follow instructions from teachers at all times.
  • No bad language, at any time, in any Warriorz class.
  • No fighting or arguing in classes. Respect your fellow students.

The full code of conduct is signed at registration and is held at the studio.

Hardship fund

Nobody misses out on money

The Warriorz Hardship Fund exists to help students in financial hardship, whether temporary or longer term. It is maintained by the fundraising the academy does through the year, and it gives a donation towards a single event or opportunity:

  • A competition.
  • Travel to a casting or an audition.
  • A dance trip with the school.
  • Full and half scholarships.

Applications are confidential. Any student who wants to be considered should ask at the studio or email us and the application form will be sent to you.

The things parents
ask first.

What ages does Warriorz teach?

Three years old to adult. Classes are grouped by age and level, and there are beginner, intermediate and advanced groups within the general classes.

How much is the first class?

The first class is £1. It is a real class, not a watching session, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.

Where are the studios?

Three studios. Stevenage at King George Pavilion, six days a week. Luton at Chantry Primary Academy, Tomlinson Avenue, LU4 0QP, on Saturdays. Hatfield at Hatfield Leisure Centre, Travellers Lane, AL10 8TJ, on Mondays.

How do I pay for classes?

Monthly, through Class for Kids, which is the academy's booking and invoicing system. It is the only payment route Warriorz uses. Bank details are never published on the website.

Do I still pay if my child misses a class?

Yes. Fees are charged monthly rather than per class, so a missed session is still charged.

Are classes running during half-term?

No. Warriorz is closed during half-terms and you are not charged for those weeks. Half-term and summer camps run separately, and some places are funded through the government's holiday activities scheme.

What dance styles are taught?

Hip-hop, commercial, afro, locking, lite feet, popping, jazz, lyrical, tap and house, plus acting and singing through the performing arts stream.

What if a family cannot afford the fees?

The Warriorz Hardship Fund exists for exactly that. It is funded by the academy's own fundraising and gives a donation towards a competition, travel to an audition, a school trip, or a full or half scholarship. Applications are confidential.

Do you run birthday parties and wedding first dances?

Yes to both. Party package details are sent out by email — ask us and we will send them over. Wedding first dance is £175 for the complete four-hour package, or £50 an hour for individual lessons.

Who teaches at Warriorz?

Nine teachers, all of them still working professionally. Between them they have worked the BRIT Awards, the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, Glastonbury, Paris Fashion Week and EastEnders. The academy was founded in 2013 by choreographer Zara Richards.
